Program Coordinator

This part-time position requires superb writing, editing, proofreading and time-management skills to oversee the production of San Jose Rep’s show programs for 6+ productions per year. This position will work with the Rep’s graphic designer on layout and will also manage the pre-press process with the Rep’s printing house. The coordinator must also edit copy according to the Rep’s style guidelines, ensure accurate billing and confirm all affiliated associations and unions’ program guidelines are met. This position requires communication with actors, designers, directors and internal departments to ensure materials for the completion of the program are collected in a timely manner and to make certain each program is delivered on time.

Customer Service Agent

San Jose Repertory Theatre, located in downtown San Jose, California, is seeking applicants for a part-time position (20-30 hrs/wk) to work in the Box Office for the 2008-2009 Season. Duties include: Processing ticket orders via phone, email, and fax; preparing box office for show days (printing will call…etc.); responding to patron issues; and providing the highest level of customer service. Skills and Qualifications: Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to multi-task. Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and fun environment. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Inside Sales Rep

The San Jose Repertory Theatre is seeking dependable, energetic callers to take a role in its onsite inside sales department. We offer great part time hours (Sundays 4 to 8 & Monday through Thursday 5 to 9), very competitive salary (top reps earning up to $20.00 hourly), wonderful comp tickets, invitation to special events and potential for advancement. Internships

The Rep’s internship program provides advanced training in both theater production and administration. The program offers students, graduates and other interested persons the opportunity to work closely with top professionals in each field. It is through this exposure to professionals at work—and to their audience—that our interns learn what drama means to the life of a community, and how the life of a community enriches its theater. The Rep internships are springboards to a professional life in the theater. The Rep’s interns have gone on to work in major regional theaters, attend renowned graduate programs, and establish careers as directors and designers.
