Communication

There are two stage management consoles (SMPs). One is located in the booth and the other is backstage and can be placed either stage right or stage left. The SMP has the access to the following:

  • All switches for the house light/work light system. House lights, however, are run through the lighting board when we are in performance mode.
  • Paging system to the house, backstage and lobby.
  • Mutes for the monitor system to the lobby and backstage.
  • Cue light system (we have 6 flexible/mobile cue lights and two hard-wired at the rail and in the trap room).
  • 4-channel Clear-Com system

Communication between stage management, house management, the box office and facilities happens via a single-channel Motorola two-way radio.

Crews

The stage crew at the Rep is a mix of IA and professional, non-union employees. Please see the production manager for more details.
