An actor or designer visits the school to discuss the variety of talents contributing to the exciting world of theatre! Actors must be booked in advance and a negotiable fee is required.
For more information about Artists-in-the-Schools or any of our student programs contact: Karen Altree Piemme, Education & Outreach Director at 408.367.7291 or karenp@sjrep.com.
When there is no performance, we say the theatre is "dark." It is tradition to put a single light bulb on a tall stand in the middle of the stage to "keep the ghosts away"…and to prevent a lost actor from falling into the orchestra pit.
Come sit in the glow of the ghostlight with Artistic Director Rick Lombardo for an insider discussion of the upcoming play. From conception to casting, the Rep’s free Ghostlight Forums offer a rare glimpse into the building of a Rep production.
Seating is limited and subject to availability. Reservations are required. Call the Box Office at 408.367.7255 or email boxoffice@sjrep.com for your seats.
Pay What You Will night is a new addition to San Jose Rep’s extensive community outreach program that supports the company’s mission of accessibility and affordability for every member of the community. A suggested ticket price of $10 is requested. However, any amount will be accepted. No handling or facility fee will be assessed on any ticket.
Immediately following Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday matinees, audiences have the opportunity to meet the cast and discuss the performance. Lead by Rep artistic staff, post-play discussions are one of the most popular programs at the Rep.
Those over the age of 65 are eligible for discounts. Senior discounts offer an approximately 25% saving on regular subscription prices. Seniors are also eligible for a $6.00 discount on single tickets. The senior discount is non-transferable. Proof of age may be required.
Full time students receive 50% off the regular ticket price for all seats! Student ID is required for the purchase of all student discounted tickets.
