Job shadowing at the Rep is a work-based learning experience that allows a student to follow a staff host, observing and asking questions about a particular career. It opens students to the prospect of a rewarding career in the arts.
Job shadowing is best suited for students in middle school and early high school who are just beginning to match their talents to career prospects. They are able to observe a variety of tasks and learn about the educational requirements associated with the career. This work-based experience gives students a realistic idea of whether they feel suited to a career in the non-profit arts.
