Paul Baird (COLLECTING MAN 2/DICK WILKINS/ JOHN’S ATTENDANT/ TOPPER/SHIP’S PILOT/ BUSINESSMAN 2)‘s favorite productions include The Lily’s Revenge (Groom Deity) at the Magic Theatre; Shipwrecked! (Musician) at Shakespeare Santa Cruz; and the Wanderings of Odysseus (Odysseus) at the Stanford Summer Theater, which he will tour through Greece next summer. Fiona Donovan (BELINDA/ENSEMBLE) is honored to make her acting debut with San Jose Rep, having participated in San Jose Rep’s Creative Dramatics Summer Workshop for the past three summers. Fiona is nine years old. Her other performances include Bay Area figure skating competitions, school band (flute) and choir, and improvisational and self composed piano pieces at the most recent Music Teachers’ Association of California Convention. She loves to read, go camping, sing to her cat, and she always knows exactly what to do to make her parents laugh. |

Richard Farrell (SCROOGE) appears with San Jose Rep for the first time in A Christmas Carol. In the Bay Area, he has performed with San Francisco Opera, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, TheatreWorks, Center REP, Marin Theatre Company, and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. He has performed on stages throughout the country including Yale Repertory Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Cleveland Play House, Alliance Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Geva Theatre Center, Arizona Theatre Company, A Contemporary Theatre, Intiman Theatre, and off-Broadway with The Pearl Theatre Company. Mr. Farrell was a company member with The Alabama Shakespeare Festival for five seasons as an associate artist and with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for twelve seasons. |

Blythe Foster (BELLE/FRED’S WIFE/MOLLY) is happy to be performing at San Jose Rep again, having recently played Irene in Rick Lombardo’s production of The Dresser. Blythe has appeared as Mayella Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird at TheatreWorks and as Jo in boom at Marin Theatre Company. She has worked at Shotgun Players as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Gretchen in Faust, Part I. She has collaborated with foolsFURY, understudied at Berkeley Repertory Theatre and written songs and performed with several local bands. Blythe graduated from the MFA Acting Program at Columbia University in New York, trained at Gardzienice Theatre in Poland and apprenticed at Bread and Puppet Theater in Vermont. |

Emilio Fuentes (WILLIE/YOUNGEST SCROOGE/ IGNORANCE/ENSEMBLE) is thrilled to be back to the San Jose Rep. His last performance, A Christmas Story, was a great success! Emilio has been busy working as a professional model and actor in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Yet, his passion for acting has motivated him to take advanced drama classes, choir classes, and piano classes. Evidently, Emilio has no fear to perform in front of small or larger audiences. In his little free time, Emilio likes to build anything and everything with LEGOS®. Marvin Greene (BOB CRATCHIT/LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER 2) is pleased to return to San Jose Rep where he last appeared twenty years ago in The 1940’s Radio Hour. Between times, Mr. Greene has performed for Aurora Theatre Company, Marin Theatre Company, Marin Shakespeare Company, San Jose Stage Company, and The Alternative Theater Ensemble where he is an associate member. He also teaches acting for Berkeley Repertory Theatre, American Conservatory Theater, Academy of Art University, and at Voice One. Kimberly Mohne Hill (MRS. FEZZIWIG/MRS. CRATCHIT/ MINER’S WIFE) is excited to appear in her first role onstage at San Jose Rep! An assistant professor at Santa Clara University, Kimberly is known around the Bay Area as a dialect coach and director. Kimberly served as dialect coach on many shows at San Jose Rep including The Last Romance, Spring Awakening, The Dresser, The Weir, and As You Like It. She received her MFA in acting from American Conservatory Theater. Her directing credits include reasons to be pretty (San Jose Stage Company); Thoroughly Modern Millie and Hay Fever (Santa Clara University, Mayer Theater); and, one of the “Top Ten Theater of 2009” plays, The Seafarer (San Jose Stage Company). |

Lucas Kernan (YOUNG SCROOGE/PETER CRATCHIT/ TURKEY BOY/ENSEMBLE) is excited to make his San Jose Rep debut in A Christmas Carol. Lucas has appeared in Grease (Doody), Guys and Dolls (Nicely-Nicely Johnson), and Willy Wonka (Augustus Gloop) with Los Gatos Youth Theatre. Lucas has participated in San Jose Rep’s Creative Dramatics Summer Workshop program for four years. When not performing on stage, he enjoys playing guitar as well as soccer and lacrosse. Seth Margolies (COLLECTING MAN 1/FEZZIWIG/GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT/ BUSINESS MAN 3/MAN W/CORPSE CART) makes his debut at San Jose Rep! He has been seen on stage, television, and film. Most recently, he played Sir Toby Belch in Knightsbridge Theatre’s production of Twelfth Night. Seth appeared in Animal Planet’s season opener of My Extreme Animal Phobia as well. He is a graduate of Vassar College and holds a master’s degree from the American Conservatory Theater under the artistic direction of the late Edward Hastings. |

Kate McCormick (EDNA/ENSEMBLE) enjoys a multi-faceted career in teaching and performing. She just completed the title role in the 2010 National Tour of Strega Nona the Musical! with Maximum Entertainment Productions. Kate’s other recent regional credits include SHOUT! The Mod Musical (Blue Girl) and Xanadu (Euterpe) at the Retro Dome; Hairspray at Cabrillo Stage (Velma Von Tussle); Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Muriel) and Into the Woods (Florinda) with Broadway By the Bay; and Pete ‘n’ Keely (Keely) and The Light in the Piazza (Franca Naccarelli) with Palo Alto Players. Everett Meckler (TINY TIM/ENSEMBLE) is proud to make his

Carol. He was first introduced to live theatre as a member of the
audience at Children’s Musical Theater San Jose’s production of Oliver in 2009. Upon leaving the theater he exclaimed “I want to do that!”, and
has since performed in four Children’s Musical Theater San Jose
productions. His favorite roles include Colin Craven in The Secret
Garden and Tommy Pickles in Rugrats! A Live Adventure. Everett

Sam Misner (FRED/YOUNG SCROOGE/LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER 1/ UNDERTAKER’S MAN) is proud to be making his debut at San Jose Rep. Jessica Salans (FAN/BELLE’S OLDEST CHILD/MARTHA/ SHIP’S WATCH/YOUNG MAID) was the Female Swing for San Jose Rep’s tremendous production of Spring Awakening. She has trained with San Jose Rep, California Theatre Center, San Francisco Casting, American Conservatory Theater, and University of Miami’s BFA Acting Program. In 2009, Jessica served as an acting intern in three productions at Shakespeare Santa Cruz. A senior at San Jose State University, Jessica played Olivia in Twelfth Night and CB’s Sister in Dog Sees God. She directed her first show, Buried Child, in January 2011 and her second, Wonder of the World, in August. Jessica serves as SPOTLITE Stage Company’s artistic director and sends gratitude to the resident artists and her board ladies for their dedication to creating new art. Love to fish and mom. |

Drew Benjamin Jones (MALE UNDERSTUDY) is a senior at San Jose State University majoring in theatre arts. His recent productions include San Jose Rep’s The Dresser (Ensemble/Albany/Understudy Oxenby); San Jose State University’s Much Ado About Nothing (Benedick), Dead Man’s Cell Phone (Dwight), Twelfth Night (Malvolio), and The Seagull (Dorn); Festival Theatre Ensemble’s Twelfth Night (Orsino) and Macbeth (Malcolm); and he will be making his debut at Cinequest in 2012 as the lead role in Spartan Production’s summer feature film, Always Learning. Danielle Milano (FEMALE UNDERSTUDY) is thrilled to be the Female Understudy in her first San Jose Rep production. She is a freshman at San Jose State University majoring in theatre arts. Her prior theatre experience occurred primarily in the Bay Area from the age of seven. Danielle’s favorite roles include the National Tour of White Christmas as Susan Waverly (Pantages Theatre, LA); Annie (Stagedoor Manor, New York); and The Sound of Music (Broadway by the Bay, San Mateo). Rick Lombardo (ADAPTER/COMPOSER/DIRECTOR/SOUND DESIGNER AND ARTISTIC DIRECTOR) is in his fourth season as artistic director at San Jose Rep, where he has directed Spring
Awakening, the world premiere of Love in American Times,The Dresser, Black Pearl Sings!,
The Weir, and As You Like It, which received nominations for outstanding production and
outstanding direction by the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle. He was previously artistic
director for 13 years at New Repertory Theatre, the leading mid-size resident theatre in
the greater-Boston area and, In 2009, was awarded the Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence
from the Boston Theatre Critics Association. Mr. Lombardo was also the recipient of four
individual Elliot Norton Awards and a nine-time winner of the “IRNE” Award for his productions
of The Clean House, Sweeney Todd, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, A Streetcar Named
Desire, Ragtime, Waiting for Godot, and The Weir. He was also previously artistic director of
the Players Guild in Ohio, co-director of the theatre program at Fordham University’s
College at Lincoln Center, and founding artistic director of the Stillwaters Theatre Company
in New York. Mr. Lombardo is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers
and lives in San Jose with his wife, actress Rachel Harker, and daughter.
Anna Lackaff (MUSIC DIRECTOR/COMPOSER/ARRANGER) is delighted to music direct her original score for A Christmas Carol at San Jose Rep, after five consecutive years doing the show at New Repertory Theatre in Boston. She has been music director, vocal coach, accompanist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger for regional, Off-Broadway, and educational theatre, as well as in other music venues, in and around NYC, New England, and the Midwest. Previously, Anna was music director of the Walnut Hill School Theatre Academy (boarding school for the arts in Massachusetts) and resident music director of Carousel Music Theatre in Maine. Her original Ave Maria has been performed by The Western Wind (NYC a cappella) and in Italy, Austria, and Germany by the Nebraska Wesleyan University Choir. Trained in classical voice, credits include The Beggar’s Opera, What’s That Spell?, Gallantry, and solo work with Third Chair Chamber Players, Lincoln Civic Orchestra, and i Sebastiani (commedia dell’arte). She is currently composing/recording a new score for a public television documentary about the late artist Carlotta Petrina. Also a visual artist, recent work includes the illustrations for Dr. Virginia Tufte’s forthcoming memoir. She also freelances as a cake decorator and teaches private voice. Peter Colao (SCENIC DESIGNER) is delighted to be making his San Jose Rep debut as set designer for A Christmas Carol. This marks his second production in the bay area, and reprises his role in Rick Lombardo’s production of A Christmas Carol at the New Repertory Theatre in Boston. His other recent designs include Personal Instrument (New Conservatory Theatre Center); Into the Woods, Cabaret, Dessa Rose, Sweeney Todd, Indulgences, and the upcoming Little Shop of Horrors (New Repertory Theater); Bare (Suffolk University); The Shape of Things (Northeastern University); Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Reagle Music Theatre). Peter has two degrees in architecture from MIT and went on to a career in theatre as co-owner of Wooden Kiwi Productions, a theatrical design/build firm specializing in Sprung Dance Flooring and scenic construction.
Frances Nelson McSherry (COSTUME DESIGNER) is pleased to return to San Jose
Rep. Last season, she designed for Black Pearl Sings! which received a Bay Area Theatre
Critics Circle nomination for costume design. She is delighted to be working with Rick
Lombardo again, having designed over 20 productions with him at New Repertory Theatre;
Frances co-designed the original production of Mr. Lombardo’s adaptation of A Christmas
Carol at New Repertory Theatre with Christine Alger. Some other favorite New Repertory
Theatre shows include Cabaret, Eurydice, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Wild Party, The Pillowman,
Romeo and Juliet, Sweeney Todd, and The Threepenny Opera. She has designed at New
York City Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Glimmerglass Opera, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, and Lyric Stage Company. Frances currently teaches theater design at Northeastern
University in Boston, MA, and she is a member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829.
Dawn Chiang (LIGHTING DESIGNER) designed the lighting for San Jose Rep’s productions The Weir, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Two Gentlemen of Verona and The Matchmaker. On Broadway, she designed Zoot Suit and Tango Pasion (co-designed with Richard Pilbrow). Off Broadway, she has designed for Manhattan Theatre Club and the Roundabout Theatre. Ms. Chiang was resident lighting designer for New York City Opera, where her designs included Anna Bolena , Fanciulla del West and A Little Night Music. Her regional theatre credits include the Mark Taper Forum, Guthrie Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, South Coast Repertory, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre and Denver Center Theatre. Ms. Chiang has earned two Drama-Logue Critics' Awards, as well as nominations for the San Francisco Drama Critics’ Award, Los Angeles Drama Critics’ Award and the American Theatre Wing Award.
Laxmi Kumaran (STAGE MANAGER) is enjoying her seventh season at San Jose Rep. Before moving to the Bay Area, Ms. Kumaran stage managed in Chicago for a variety of theatres, including the Goodman Theatre and the Court Theatre. Some of the directors with whom she has had the pleasure of working include Rick Lombardo, Timothy Near, Richard Seer, John McCluggage, Kirsten Brandt, Barbara Damashek, Jonathan Moscone, Michael Butler, Robert Falls, Mary Zimmerman, David Ira Goldstein, JoAnne Akalaitis, Robert Woodruff, Karin Coonrod, Gary Griffin and David Cromer. Ms. Kumaran has taught stage management classes at San Jose State, Northern Illinois, DePaul and Northwestern universities, and currently teaches at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Deirdre Rose Holland (ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER) is excited to be back for her third show with San Jose Rep, having previously worked on Spring Awakening and Legacy of Light. Her regional credits include the 2011 Summer Shakespeare Festival, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and The Mystery of Irma Vep (The Old Globe); and The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later and the world premiere of Bonnie and Clyde (La Jolla Playhouse). Additional credits include Anna Karenina and The Barber of Seville (Opera San Jose); and the 2010 Summer Hot Dog Series (Palo Alto Children’s Theatre). Ms. Holland holds an MFA in stage management from the University of California, San Diego.
