FLS ImageA WORLD PREMIERE ADAPTATION OF MARLOWE'S CLASSIC

Leaving behind scholarly pursuits for magic, Faustus sells his soul to Lucifer to quench his thirst for knowledge. With the devil, Mephistopheles, as his servant for 24 years, and the dark arts at his disposal, Faustus travels the globe to satisfy his insatiable desire for power. Through encounters with angels, dragons, the Seven Deadly Sins, and classical figures ranging from Helen of Troy to Alexander the Great, Faustus must determine whether or not he has made the right bargain.

This world premiere adaptation of Marlowe's Faust conjures a darkly bawdy, delightfully mischievous world using stylized, state-of-the art stagecraft and leading-edge light and sound gadgetry to spirit the viewer right out of this world.

Bold, ambitious, and stirring…Brandt has become a disciplined and inventive theatrical storyteller. -- San Diego Union-Tribune
