Mark Anders (Cosme McMoon), a native of Seattle, WA, last appeared at the San Jose Rep in 2 Pianos 4 Hands, in a production he has done all over the country since 2001. He previously played Cosme McMoon in Seattle at ACT. Much of his recent time has been devoted to a new Noël Coward revue, A Marvelous Part, which he co-conceived, and in which he has performed in Rochester, NY; West Palm Beach, FL; at the Northlight Theatre in Chicagoland, where it won a Jeff award; at the Laguna Playhouse, where it received the Los Angeles Drama Critic’s Circle award; and just recently at the Kansas City Rep. This summer it will play at ACT in Seattle. Sometimes he’s in plays for which he doesn’t have to do piano-practicing, such as Murderers at the Seattle Repertory Theatre this past fall. Other favorite Seattle credits include The Woman in Black, Old Wicked Songs and Dirty Blonde at Seattle ACT; Hanging Lord Haw-Haw at the Empty Space; A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Gross Indecency, Smash, and The Mystery of Irma Vep at Intiman. He keeps busy writing when not treading the boards or watching his daughter, Gemma, do her homework.
Patti Cohenour (Florence Foster Jenkins) is delighted to reprise Madame J. which she performed opposite the remarkable Mark Anders for A Contemporary Theatre in Seattle. She originated the following Broadway roles: Signora Naccarelli and Margaret Johnson (Alternate) in Lincoln Center Theater’s production of The Light in the Piazza, Mother Abbess in Sound of Music (1997 revival), Christine in Phantom of the Opera (also Canada), Rosabud in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (New York/London), Mary Jane in Big River, and debuted and understudied the role of Nora in A Doll’s Life. Additional credits: Mimi in La Boheme, Isabel/Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance for the New York Shakespeare Festival, Adeline in Sweet Adeline for New York City’s Encores! and Magnolia for Hal Prince’s Showboat, Katherine in Taming of the Shrew for Syracuse Stage, To Kill a Mockingbird, Light in the Piazza (also The Goodman), Our Town, Servant of Two Masters for Seattle’s Intiman Theater. Oh Coward! for Seattle Repertory; Glinda in Wizard of Oz, Rosabella in Most Happy Fella, Abigail in 1776, and Lili in Secret Garden, for Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre. She is a recipient of a Tony® nomination, two Drama Desk nominations, the Clarence Derwent and Theatre World Award. Her solo recording, To an Isle in the Water, is available at patticohenour.com.
R. Hamilton Wright (Director), a native of Seattle, has been a professional actor for over
