James Carpenter (Logan) last appeared at San Jose Repertory Theatre in Charles Mee’s Wintertime. His other San JoseRepertory Theatre appearances include By The Bog of Cats..., Ctrl+Alt+ Delete, Sideman and The Matchmaker (as Ms. Flora Van Huysen). His Bay Area credits include American Conservatory Theater (where he played Scrooge), Aurora Theatre Company, Marin Theatre Company, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and TheatreWorks. Carpenter was an Associate Artist for 14 years with Berkeley Repertory Theatre appearing in over 30 productions and is now an Associate Artist with the California Shakespeare Theater. Mr. Carpenter has also performed at the Old Globe Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Intiman Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Dallas Theater Center, and the Huntington Theatre Company.
Kenya Brome (Azmera) is making her San Jose Repertory Theatre debut. Ms. Brome has recently appeared as Juliette in the American Premiere of Sonja Linden’s play I Have Before Me A Remarkable Document Given To Me By A Young Lady From Rwanda at Kansas City Repertory Theater. She has also appeared as Ti Moune in Once On This Island at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, Lila in Nomathemba (with Ladysmith Black Mambazo) at the Huntington Theater Company, Veronica in Valley Song at TheaterWorks and Barrington Stage Company, and also as Shawnelle in the New York Fringe Festival. Ms. Brome has a supporting role in the upcoming film Order of Redemption, and has guest starred on NBC’s “Law and Order.” Other television appearances include “Law and Order: Criminal Intent,” “Third Watch,” and “All My Children.” Ms. Brome is also known for her award winning television commercial for Citibank Identity Theft Protection, as well as other national spots for Verizon, CNN.com, Wendy’s, and Tide, to name a few. Ms. Brome has a B.A. from Brown University.
Thom Rivera (Philip) was previously seen in San Jose Repertory Theatre’s New America Playwrights Festival at Villa Montalvo in Eddie Sanchez’s play, Icarus. In New York, Mr. Rivera has worked with Roundabout Theatre Company, Manhattan Theatre Club, Culture Project, Jean Cocteau, The Acting Company, The Working Theater, American Place Theatre and Ensemble Studio Theatre. Other regional credits include three seasons at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre, Denver Center Theatre Company, South Coast Repertory, Mark Taper Forum, Dallas Theater Center, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cincinnati Playhouse, Triad Stage, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Bilingual Foundation of the Arts, and Shakespeare Festival/LA. Mr. Rivera has been seen on “Law & Order,” “Law and Order: Criminal Intent,” and “As the World Turns,” as well as the award winning short films Soap Scum and Defending the Super$ave. Other credits include Actor/Teacher with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Will Power to Youth with Shakespeare Festival/LA and The Acting Company. He is a member of Coyote Repertory and a proud member of Actors’ Equity. Rivera obtained his MFA at the University of California, Irvine and his BA at California State University, Northridge.
Stacy Ross (Beth) was recently seen on San Jose Repertory Theatre’s stage in The Triumph of Love. Other San Jose Repertory Theatre appearances include Rabbit Hole, Iphigenia at Aulis, Hannah and Martin and Major Barbara. Recently, she has appeared in Three Sisters at Baltimore’s Center Stage and Frozen at Marin Theatre Company. Other recent credits include The Comedy of Errors and Henry IV, Parts I & II at California Shakespeare Theater, Smell of the Kill at the SF Playhouse, Man of Destiny at the Aurora Theatre Company, Arms and the Man at California Shakespeare Theater, The
Rivals and The Gamester at American Conservatory Theater and Book of Days at TheatreWorks. Ross’s regional credits include The Green Bird and Cloud Nine at Berkeley Repertory Theatre; Killer Joe, Spring Storm and Candida at Marin Theatre Company; Misalliance at Baltimore’s Center Stage; and As You Like It and Twelfth Night at San Francisco Shakespeare Festival.
