Ivonne Coll (Sonia/Marta) is an award-winning performer of stage, film and television (ACE Award, Craig Noel Award, International Short Film Festival Award), whose career spans over 44 years. On Broadway she appeared in Shakespeare on Broadway,directed by Estelle Parsons; Goodbye Fidel; and the Tony-nominated show, Chronicle of a Death Foretold. West Coast audiences have seen Ms. Coll at Berkeley Repertory Theatre (2006 San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award Nomination for Mother Courage), La Jolla Playhouse, the Mark Taper Forum, San Diego Repertory Theatre and South Coast Repertory. Ms. Coll’s television work includes more than 30 guest starring and recurring roles in major network shows, most recently "Cold Case,” "ER,"
"HEROES" and "Nip/Tuck.” She has garnered in excess of a dozen film credits, including her film debut in The Godfather: Part II as "the redheaded Yolanda.” She's very proud to have represented her native Puerto Rico in the 1967 Miss Universe Pageant.
Julian López-Morillas (Sam/Orfeo) has appeared at the Rep in productions of Sons of Don Juan, The Sea Gull, Room Service, Death of a Salesman and The Miracle Worker. He has also directed Rep productions of The Servant of Two Masters and The School for Scandal. Most recently, Mr. López-Morillas has been performing at the San Jose Stage Company in productions of Rock ‘n’ Roll, The Seafarer and The Pillowman, as well as anticipating the South Bay premiere of his solo show, Sleep to Wake: Robert Browning Remembers Elizabeth, in the 2010 -2011 season. Mr. López-Morillas has also acted and directed with the American Conservatory Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, California Shakespeare Theater, Marin Theatre Company, TheatreWorks, Long Wharf Theatre (New Haven, CT), McCarter Theatre (Princeton, NJ), American Players Theatre (Spring Green, WI), Denver Center Theatre Company and many others.
Kwana Martinez (Nina/Pilar) is very pleased to be making her San Jose Rep debut. Working extensively in theatres across the country, she has appeared in New York City with New York Theatre Workshop, La MaMa, Irish Arts Center, Rude Mechanicals Theater Company and Target Margin Theater, and in Los Angeles with the Mark Taper Forum, The Colony Theatre Company, Laguna Playhouse and the Hayworth Theatre. Other highlights include appearances at The Old Globe, American Repertory Theater, North Coast Repertory Theatre, The Alley Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Arizona Theatre Company, Contemporary American Theater Festival and Hartford Theatre Works. Ms. Martinez has also worked in film and television, having recently shot a series of shorts for HBO. Michael Santo (Daniel/Tito) last appeared with San Jose Rep as Ira in Laughter on the 23rd Floor and Raul in Extremities. Most recently he played Sherlock Holmes in Holmes & Watson at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Other roles include Antonio in The Tempest for American Conservatory Theater, Welch in God of Hell for Magic Theatre, Andre Saïd in …,” said Saïd for Alliance Theatre, Walter in The Price for Aurora Theatre Company, Oliver in Pentecost at The Old Globe, and Matt in Talley’s Folly at Pasadena Playhouse. Mr. Santo’s work also includes appearances with Marin Shakespeare Company, Arizona Theatre Company, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Intiman Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Denver Center Theatre Company, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cleveland Playhouse, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Hartford Stage and Portland Stage Company.
Tiffany Ellen Solano (Jen/Young Sonia) is pleased to add San Jose Rep to her list of regional theatre credits. Other notable highlights include La Posada Magica at South Coast Repertory for eight years, as well as its Los Angeles premiere with the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble; originating the role of Victoria in the world premiere of Plainsong at Denver Center Theatre Company; Nine Armenians at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and the Denver Center Theatre Company; Babe in The Pajama Game for Minnesota’s Mixed Blood Theatre Company; Miranda in Will and Co.’s production of The Tempest at the Los Angeles Theatre Center; and Cesar & Ruben: The Musical, written and directed by Ed Begley Jr., at the NoHo Arts Center. Tiffany’s “day job” is spent on a “Magic Carpet Ride” as Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular. Miles Gaston Villanueva (Zak/Jose) is tremendously privileged to be a part of the regional premiere of Sonia Flew, his debut performance with San Jose Repertory Theatre. He recently performed in Sunsets and Margaritas (Jojo) at TheatreWorks, and prior to that, he enjoyed a summer with Shakespeare Santa Cruz in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Lysander) and Julius Caesar (Octavius). Other credits include The Heart’s Desire (John Guerrero) atThe Western Stage, Tecumseh! (Tecumseh) at Ohio’s Sugarloaf Mountain Amphitheatre and Othello (Iago) at the Woodward Shakespeare Festival. Mr. Villanueva is a proud graduate of the drama program at California State University, Fresno, where he received his B.A. in Theatre Arts. He sends colossal love to family and Gabriela for their soul-feeding love, support and encouragement.
