Volunteer: Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer ushers assist with Rep productions, special events and rentals. Ushers provide an invaluable service to the San Jose Repertory Theatre by helping to ensure the comfort and safety of our patrons at each performance. Their duties include: greeting patrons, taking tickets, handing out programs, locating patron's seats, and issuing head sets to the hearing impaired.
Ushering is a fun way to meet new friends and perhaps catch up with old acquaintances. The Usher Corps is managed by the theatre staff, which schedules and trains the ushers. Ushers receive refreshments and are invited to watch performances during their shifts.
